You say tomato, I say Bloody Mary.
If you follow our site, you know we’re a fan of the Lowlands Group. They just don’t disappoint. Cafe Bavaria at 7700 Harwood Avenue, Wauwatosa is the newest installment. The five Bloody Marys on the menu are unique to Cafe Bavaria (… I think). At other locations they have staples, like The Milwaukeean and The Frenchie. I’m a big garlic fan (my friends just love me) so I opted for the The Wurst at our recent visit.
Mix: The house mix is primarily the same at any Lowlands location. They do add different seasonings and garnishes to make them each unique. The Wurst has Caraway garlic and horseradish-infused vodka to create a unique spiciness. The mix is on the thicker side, which I prefer. Honestly, this went down way too quickly.
Garnish: Along with the typical green olive and pickle, this Bloody Mary was accompanied along with a brussel sprout, cheese curd, a slice of bacon and wurst slices. The sausage was so. good. I mean… so good.
Chaser: Yes, this came along with a lighter German beer. Forgive me for not remembering. I was too smitten with the Bloody Mary.
Buzz: Sadly, no buzz factor here, friends.
Size: Standard 16 ounce beverage
Cost: $9.00. I thought this was very fair for what you get.
If you’re from Milwaukee, you know of all Lowlands locations. Before you email or comment, I’ll answer for you. No, I’m not being endorsed by them in the slightest. I just have never been disappointed by any beverage I’ve gotten at any of their locations. There’s something to say about the quality and consistency. So, whether you’re a Bloody Mary newbie or veteran, just go. Have a drink. Cheers!
