On a mission to find Milwaukee's Best Bloody Mary

You say tomato, I say Bloody Mary.

Transfer Pizzeria Café

The last time I had the Bloody Mary at Transfer Pizzeria was in 2014.  I’m not sure if the same Bloody Mary is still on the menu.  This time around, we hopped in for a weekday lunch.  The Bloody wasn’t on the menu so I’m not sure of the special Basil blend is still available (as it was in 2014). The one I had more recently was a good ol’ Bloody Mary.

Mix: I loved this classic, simple mix. It had a thinner consistency so it didn’t fill me up before pizza.  This is vital to post Bloody plans!  The mix had a heavier worcestershire taste which I love, salty, peppery but not spicy at all.  I’d go for a bit of a kick but, again, loved this mix.

Garnish: Pretty standard ornaments here. A few olives, quartered string cheese and beef stick and… of course… lemon and lime.

Chaser: Given the choice between Riverwest Stein and Spotted Cow, I went with Riverwest.  It’s one of my favorite beers!

Buzz: No buzz today!

Cost: $7. The price of the Bloody hasn’t gone up in two-years and I’m for that!  Great price for this Bloody Mary.

If you haven’t been to Transfer Pizzeria yet, head on over. They’ve got a cozy atmosphere and some of the best pizza around.

PS – New happs: I’ll have to start watermarking the Bloody Mary photographs.  In the recent weeks, I’ve found quite a few establishments who have been using my photographs for their own purposes. That’s not really cool to do without permission. All ya gotta do is ask!
