You say tomato, I say Bloody Mary.
You know when restaurants are brand new and they’re constantly packed? Well, Story Hill BKC is that way. Except it isn’t new to the neighborhood. It opened during summer of 2014 and hasn’t slowed down since. Obviously, they’re doing a lot right and people love it!
There were four to choose from, but I opted for their Garden Variety Bloody Mary. I’ve got to admit, it’s easily one of my favorite Bloody Marys!
Mix: This homemade mix was a-okay! It was packed with flavor, heavy on the pepper and horseradish. It seemed to have a bit of a spicy and smokey flavor with a heavy tang. Maybe it’s made with clamato?? The texture was not thick but not watery. It didn’t leave me feeling super full, which can be a problem with #brunching.
Garnish: Pretty standard garnish of a beef stick, Wisconsin-style cheese curd, green olive, pickle and pepper slice. I’m not proud to say I didn’t indulge in any of the garnish elements though. My actual brunch was just too good!
Chaser: An included Miller High Life shorty!
Buzz: I caught a tiny, tiny buzz from the Garden Variety Bloody.
Cost: $9.50 The cost of the four bloodys at Story Hill BKC ranged from $9.00 – $10.00.
This was honestly one of my favorite Bloody Marys to date. I cannot wait to get back and try the others on their menu!
