On a mission to find Milwaukee's Best Bloody Mary

You say tomato, I say Bloody Mary.

About

prints-1-18

Since 2010, I’ve been trying to get my feet in different doors, sampling all sorts of Bloody Marys.  By all means, I’m no expert on the Bloody Mary field.  I’m just like you; I like them.  Who’s to write a better review than a common gal?

As the Milwaukee area is filled block-after-block of bars and hopefully tasty Bloody Marys, we highly appreciate your recommendations.  Feel free to shoot us an email telling us which fine establishment I should try next!

Check out the Bloody at the Riverwest Public House. Saturdays and Sundays (and maybe other days) they are $4 with a chaiser. The price might surpise you but not nearly as much as the bloody itself. Seriously awesome whomever makes them but if you’re lucky it will be Lisa. Opens at 11 and you can order food to be delivered via bike from the RW Coop.

There’s a lot of Bloodies in the area I haven’t tried, but I think the “Stinking Rose” Bloody Mary at Cafe Benelux is definitely worth trying.

Good call, Allen. Benelux never disappoints!

If you haven’t been to Buckley’s downtown it’s a must visit. Thie half and half is delish! I did not ask though if they made their own mix.

You should check out KASANA in Milwaukee, everything is made fresh with no preservatives, I went on a Milwaukee Bloody Mary walking tour and they had some really great stops for bloody’s that were very unique! The Smoke Shack was also a great stop with smoke flavored Bloody Mary’s. I enjoy your blog!

I am an Ohio native and resident who is lucky enough to be marrying a Milwaukee girl. I always had an appreciation for the Bloody Mary, but it has been taken to a whole new level since I’ve started traveling to MKE frequently. Just wanted to say thank you for the good work you’re doing here! : )

For what it’s worth, I never leave town without stopping into Cafe Centraal for The Milwaukeean….it’s the standard by which I judge others. (Washing it down with a Scotch egg is an added bonus.)

If you ever get to Marinette County check out Thunder Mountain Valley Inn, homemade bloody, good foods and if you are lucky you can watch the deer in the valley behind the bar

Adding it to the list right now, Doug. Maybe we’ll wait for warmer weather to sit on the awesome patio!

If you get the chance, try out Club Bavaria in Tosa… The Wurzig = amazingly good. All the other ones, and their special ones have been quite tasty as well!!
