On a mission to find Milwaukee's Best Bloody Mary

You say tomato, I say Bloody Mary.

As much as I love Jimmy Luv and Zing Zang, my mission is to find the best homemade Bloody Mary mix.  The following establishments do not make their own. Disclaimer: this is not to say the mixed Bloody Marys nor the establishment should be classified under “bad”… they just don’t have what I’m looking for.

  •  Sobelmans
  •  The Chancery
  •  Millioke
  • On the Clock
  • Zak’s Cafe

Agreed; my wife and I are avid Bloody Mary aficionados, always making it a point while traveling to sample them. To some degree, we’re snobbish purists–we’ve always felt a worthwhile, original Bloody Mary did not use any type of pre-mix, but rather relied upon the inqenuity of the bartender.

I think you should review the bloodies at Comet Cafe, they are just terrible. Also if you have not review Red Dot’s bloody, it is totally worth tasting!
